Hello. Im a Tenerife guy I would like to post in this forum but I dont speak deustch but I hope to speak it in the future
The Amaro Pargo pirate's treasure existed. It know because it is in his testament. Gold and silver jewels, pearls, gems, chinesse porcelain, all it catalogued in a old book marked with a "D" letter
So people have been looking for it for years ago to the extent of demolish all the house, but nobody never have found it.
In the pictures you can see his mithycal house (really he had 60 houses) on hill where he used to be on watching the enemy ships.
His real name was Amaro Rodriguez Felipe and was born on May 1678 in la laguna. He had a lot of ships: "Fortuna", "ave Maria" "la isabela" but his most famous ship was called "el clavel" which was made for war (had 24 artillery pieces) and , of course, he was a rich person, own a houses, properties etc
The pirate had a ambigous personality, he was a slave trader but he was a very religious man too (?). He made donations to a singular holy order and it know he was mason.
He died in 1747, his funeral, in La Laguna streets, was very solemn, and in his gravestone you can to see the pirate's symbol- the skull & crossbones!
